New Data from The Economist Intelligence Unit
December 28, 2000
In addition to making exciting enhancements to the CountryData database from The Economist Intelligence Unit, Data Downlink has just added three new databases from EIU.
New Databases:
- Country Outlooks - produced on 181 countries and updated monthly, Country Outlooks are brief, 800 to1,000-word summaries of each countrys political and economic prospects. Each outlook contains an overview, as well as comments on domestic politics, international relations, economic growth, inflation, exchange rates and more. Each section highlights the most significant parts of the EIUs forecast for the coming two years. Sample Country Outlook
- CountryIndicators - delivers economic, demographic, consumption and industry data on 60 major markets worldwide, from the developed economies of the OECD to the key emerging markets of Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe. Includes historic and forecast data on over 250 variables, going back to 1990 and forward five years. Sample CountryIndicators
- CityData - provides pricing information on 160 products and services across 123 cities worldwide. Prices range from the cost of a loaf of bread to the average electricity bill of a local family, or from the cost of office rents to median salary levels. Provides the most complete picture of global price levels you can find! Sample CityData
