In early June, Alacra participated in the SLA Annual Conference in Toronto. For us, this turned out to be a wonderful show, where we were able to highlight our new solutions and content. Close to 600 people visited our booth expressing keen interest in everything from Alacra Book to Compliance. Our staff, thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to visit with old friends, as well as introduce a large number of attendees to the wealth of information and solutions we offer.

In addition to our success at SLA, Alacra made some exciting new hires in the second quarter of 2005:

Jarid Lukin joined Alacra in June 2005 as Director of E-Commerce. Jarid has over 7 years of experience in the e-commerce industry and is a passionate e-commerce advocate. Prior to coming to Alacra, Jarid was the E-Commerce Business Manager for LEGO Shop at Home, the direct-to-consumer retail unit of the LEGO Group, where he was responsible for all of the e-commerce activities on LEGO.com. Olga Polyakova joined the Alacra software development team, also in June 2005, to work for Albert Tamayev in our Content Group. Olga has more than 8 years experience as a programmer/analyst and worked previously for Bowne Technical Enterprises.
