Business Information Provider Moves Headquarters to New York City
New York, NY, December 11, 1997 . . . Data Downlink Corporation announced today the addition of seven new business information databases available through its web-based service .xls. The data, which includes earnings estimates, market research, directories, archival business news and investment information, will be available at www.xls.com as of December 15, 1997. The addition of the seven databases occurs as Data Downlink opens new headquarter offices in New York City.
The service's new databases are: The Estimate Directory from BARRA, Inc. (NASDAQ:BARZ); TableBase from Responsive Database Services; Share Facts from FIND/SVP; Market Share Reporter from Gale Research; News Media Yellow Book from Leadership Directories, Inc.; Global Business Directories from Graham & Whiteside Ltd. and the Valuation Technologies database from Valuation Technologies. All told, Data Downlink now provides users of its service with access to business information from 25 leading content originators for a total of 42 different databases.

TED data is published by a BARRA, Inc. subsidiary, which acquired the TED business from Edinburgh Financial Publishing Limited in October 1997.
TableBase: International in scope and covering more than 90 industries, this brand new database from Responsive Database Services offers access to thousands of published tables covering companies, industries, products and markets. TableBase entries provide data on market share and size, company and brand rankings, industry and product forecasts, production and consumption statistics, imports and exports, usage and capacity,

number of users/outlets, trends and demographics as reported by more than 100 trade associations, over 200 investment research and primary research organizations and more than 900 U.S. and international trade and business publications.
Share Facts: Published by FIND/SVP, Share Facts is based on check-out scanner data gathered by Information Resources Inc. (IRI). The database contains market share data on more than 800 products in the beverage, food, OTC pharmaceuticals, personal care, household and consumer products, and other sectors. The data is segmented by three distribution channels - supermarkets, drug stores and mass merchandisers. Aggregate data combining the three distribution channels is also available. The market share profiles present data for each of the 800 products in both units and dollars.
Graham & Whiteside Ltd.: G &W is the leading publisher of high quality printed and
electronic directories of major corporations in all regions of the world outside North America.
