Mergent data now on .xls!

Data Downlink has just released the Mergent database on .xls!. Mergent provides annual and quarterly financial statements in both As-Presented and Generated formats for over 10,000 U.S. companies. The database also includes As-Presented annual financial statements for over 12,000 international companies. When available, Mergent financials on .xls are provided for 5 years annually and 2 years quarterly. In addition to these financial statements, Mergent also offers a multitude of other company information, such as company history, business descriptions, officers, long-term debt, property, and joint ventures. All reports can be downloaded into PDF documents and financials can be downloaded separately into Excel. .xls is the ONLY source for getting this breadth of Mergent information on a pay-per-view basis. The database is updated daily.
The Mergent universe of U.S. companies encompasses all companies that are incorporated in the United States which trade on the New York, American, NASDAQ National Market and Small Cap exchanges as well as selected companies on regional exchanges, the OTC Bulletin Board and "Pink Sheets" plus companies with debt rated by Moody's Investors Service. The universe on international companies encompasses companies that are incorporated outside of the United States and includes members of the following indexes; Morgan Stanley Capital, Dow Jones Global, Wall Street Global, Financial Times - Standard & Poors Global, and Eurotop 300. Also included are companies that trade in the United States, Global Depository Receipts and top listings in terms of market capitalization for local exchange indices around the world.
