Started in the early 1980�s, TF Worldscope was the result of a collaboration of the Primark Corporation and Wright�s Investment Services. Based on data obtained from primary source documents, such as Interim and Annual Reports from the companies and other sources directly attributable to company officers, TF Worldscope data analysts take into consideration the variety of accounting conventions, including evolving IASC standards, in use worldwide in a global template designed to facilitate comparisons between companies and industries within and across national boundaries.

The universe of companies contained in the TF Worldscope database consists of over 25,000 currently active companies (and 7,000 inactive companies) in developed and emerging markets (across over 50 countries in total), representing approximately 97% of global market capitalization.
